Data we process

NIMOFAN Translator processes the Shopify shop domain, authorized app-session data, published locales, and merchant-selected translatable resource content. Translation operations may store source and target locale, resource identifiers, field keys, source digests and hashes, candidate or existing translation values, operation status, checkpoints, and rollback records.

The app does not request protected customer data and does not use customer or order records to translate store content.

DeepSeek translation provider

When a merchant explicitly requests AI translation, the selected source text, target locale, and preservation instructions are sent server-to-server to DeepSeek solely to generate translation candidates. We do not send Shopify access tokens, customer records, orders, payment data, or the merchant's DeepSeek API key in translation content. DeepSeek processes this data under its own privacy and service terms.

Purpose and legal basis

We process this information to scan translation coverage, prepare merchant-requested translations, protect commerce facts and markup, publish approved translations, verify writes, and provide rollback. Processing is performed to deliver the app service requested by the merchant.

Retention and deletion

Necessary shop-owned operational records are retained while the app is installed so the app can provide resumable scans, audit history, exact readback, and verified rollback. Uninstalling the app or receiving Shopify's shop-redaction webhook triggers deletion of all shop-owned sessions, operations, locks, batches and items, checkpoints, rollbacks, glossary terms, scan sessions, and usage ledgers. Customer redaction and data-request webhooks are acknowledged; the app holds no customer-owned records.

Security and availability logs are retained for no longer than 30 days. Those logs do not contain Shopify access tokens, provider keys, other secrets, or full merchant translation content.

Security and sharing

Secrets are stored server-side. Access is restricted to authorized Shopify administrators. We share selected translation content only with the configured translation provider and infrastructure processors needed to operate the app; we do not sell merchant or customer data.
